My oil paintings, oil portraits. and pastel portraits have included peeks at the Don Cesar on St Petersburg Beach, beautiful southern mansions in Culbreath Bayou, and charming historical bungalows along the Bayshore Boulevard coastline.

Tampa Portrait Artist. Tampa Landscape Artist. Tampa.

I grew up in South Tampa, the oldest child of two Tampa natives, and my family on my mother's father's side goes back here six generations (if you include nearby Plant City). How's that for native? In a city of transplants, no less!

I now live with my husband and little boy in the Lake Magdalene neighborhood of Carrollwood in North Tampa. I have lived, or have a relative who has lived, in: Old Hyde Park, Palma Ceia, New Suburb Beautiful, every part of Davis Islands, Beach Park, Bayshore Beautiful, Carrollwood, Brandon, and Town n Country. And Indian Shores Beach in St. Pete -- still part of the Bay Area. I know this area like the back of my hand, and am very sentimental toward it.

So you can imagine how I tremendously enjoyed painting this wreath's ornaments, making them up out of the University of Tampa's turrets, the Ybor trolley, and the Gasparilla Pirate Ship! And then setting it against the Bayshore Boulevard balustrades and downtown Tampa: so much fun!
